It cannot be the end of January already. It seems like the year just started. We had a good day today, but I cannot say I was a witness to all of it. Mark did well with his morning therapies and ate breakfast and lunch well by himself. I took the opportunity today to spend the afternoon away from the hospital at the urging of nurses and psychologists. I did have some errands to run, so when I mentioned it to Mark, he said "Go ahead, I'm in good hands." He did have the "A-Team" with him today, so I felt comfortable. He does need to be alone on occasion and so do I.

I returned to the hospital after dinner, and he was a little restless. They told me he had a good day and that therapy went well. We read and opened mail and he calmed down. He got cleaned up and ready for bed, chatted with the nurses and was ready for more reading which helped him fall asleep. So, all in all, it was a good day for both of us.

Dear Ann and family;
I have been reading your emails ATA and I have been inspired by your strength and faith. God works in wondrous ways and I am so moved by the progress that Mark has made as well as your willingness to share with us. You are asked about often and I have referred many customers to your blog. I read it daily. Take care and I was glad to see you take some time to take care of yourself as well as Mark. We miss you.

Dear Mark, Ann, Rich, and all:
I just discovered this blog and spent the last hour scanning everything from the very beginning until this blog. One of my fellow nurses at Walter Reed told me about this and I just had to check it out, as Mark was one of my favorite patients when he was at WR. I am one of the nurses from the neuroscience unit who took care of him, and I am soo impressed by his progress, from beginning to now, and especially since his time at Walter Reed. Ann, you have remarkable faith and the fact that you have logged all of this is a testament to your strength and recovery. Keep BELIEVING and please tell Mark one of his favorite LT's from Walter Reed says hello and wonders if his mom has sold him to the gypsies yet. He is a special man, who has been granted quite a miracle.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
