It was a quiet day today. I got to his room late morning and he was back in bed after having an early lunch. He was a little sleepy and had a long nap.
He was in quite a bit of pain when he woke up and the medication didn't seem to work very well today. He had a visit by two friends from Texas who were in his unit at Ft. Hood. One has just recently moved here and the other came all the way from Kileen to see him. I think he would have enjoyed the visit more had he had the right medication to start with. They will be back tomorrow and the next day. He did enjoy talking about all the people they knew in the 3/4 which will be returning to Iraq in June.
He also spoke to Jess which also would have been better had he been given enough pain medication beforehand. He was finally comfortable when I left him this evening.
Tomorrow there will be no update. They are going to be doing extra construction tomorrow night and next Sunday and I will not be staying here for the night. I will resume on Monday and fill everyone in then.

Hi Mark, Ann & Rich,
It is amazing that it has been 3 months since Mark's accident. There are so many things to be thankful for. I was telling a friend about Mark (he is retired air force) and he said it is seldom that any one survives a helicopter accident! But Mark did! And look how far he has come! Praise the Lord! Also we are so thankful you are there with him.
Jeremiah 31:3 I have loved you with an everlasting love, I have continued my faithfulness to you.
Even though in the scripture it is God speaking, we see your love and faithfulness to Mark. It is inspiring to us.
We will continue to pray for pain management and healing for Mark and strenth for all of you.
Love, Bill and Kathy
Hi Mark and Ann.
Glad to hear your weather is good. We are in the "soup" here with sleet, snow, drizzle...all that ugly stuff.
I can only imagine what an ordeal it must be to have those legs cast and straightened. You have to get mom to figure out a way to post a picture on this blog of her handsome son. I have a place on my frig. for the photo! So many folks would love to see you! Keep eating your wheaties and get strong. After all the PT and therapy you are gonna be one buff guy! Waiting for pics in Ohio! Pustinator
Hi Mark and Ann,
Keep up the faith and hard work. They said Cleveland had an hour of sun the other day so we couldn't break Milwaukee's record of 17 days without a sun sighting! Send some sunshine our way. Andy and another friend from highschool, Pat Heil are meeting in Australia later this week. Andy flies into Melborne and out of Brisbane. Any greetings Mark wants to send to the Aussies? Ann, I can't tell you how much I enjoy reading your blog entries...I think you should become an author. Seems like just yesterday I was driving the boys to lift weights at the high school the summer before their freshman year...and now, well...keep up the good work, both of you. I think this is a marathon, not a sprint, but Mark's going to win! Take Care, The Cook's
