Mark's first day without the back brace was very good, however, it did tire him out and he went to bed earlier than usual. Just the strain of physical therapy without it, as well as sitting in the wheelchair was more strenuous. He did like the fact that it was gone, and it was well worth the extra stress I think. He also had his last eye test and picked out his reading glasses. It will take a few weeks, but then he will not have eye strain when reading, which will be nice since it's his favorite quiet pastime.
We had visitors again today when another of Mark's high school friends and her mom drove down from Mississippi. It was good to see them. He enjoyed taking them to PT since his friend is studying to be a physical therapist at Duquesne University. As I said, it was more difficult without his tortise shell, but he did great at standing, sitting and on all fours.
Tomorrow is the rescheduled day for the zoo, but they are predicting rain, so it may be postponed yet again. We'll keep you posted as always.
