Well, as many of you may have realized, it was nine months since Mark's crash and seven months that we have been down here in Tampa. Again, it is hard to believe. But believe me when I say the months here have been worth it. He is doing beautifully.
Friday, after his Lokomat therapy, he went to his weekly golf date. This time Jess accompanied him and he was happy to show off for her. I am told he was "awesome" and did very well hitting the ball and putting. He was able to get into the golf cart himself, and drive it as well. Then when he went to hit the ball, he just pushed the button which takes his seat up to a standing position and swings!
Saturday saw pool therapy and then we hung out at the house for a while. We decided to go to Outback for dinner since we had not taken Jess there and wanted to before she leaves for home on Tuesday. When we arrived at the restaurant, we got a phone call from Mark's best friend, PJ and his dad Pete. They had arrived in Tampa earlier than they thought and had just gotten to their hotel. They jumped back in the car and met us for dinner. We had a wonderful time and the guys were so glad to see each other.
Today was a quiet day with Mark on the computer and Jess getting ready to leave. PJ and his dad had a golf day and then joined us at the Fisher House and we went out for dinner again with all the same results as Saturday night. It was a great weekend.
